Gather the unpretentious flavors of Lapland's summer and the genuine vitamins of nature by picking berries. Berries can be frozen or boiled into juice or delicious jams, for example. Berry picking not only fills the pantry for the winter, but it is also surprisingly good exercise. Berry picking is part of everyman's right.
In the Nuorgam area, berry picking is possible from the late July onwards. Cloudberry is one of the most valuable wild berries in Finland, and it ripens in July-August. Blueberries, on the other hand, ripen in August. Lingonberries typically ripen later in late August.
